Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2026
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. MuslimZawaj also uses browser local storage for some preferences and session-related values. This policy describes what we actually use.
2. Strictly necessary
Strictly necessary storage keeps you signed in, protects the session, and lets the site function. Without it, login and basic security cannot work.
3. Preferences
We store your language preference (locale cookie) and whether you dismissed the site cookie notice. These are preference cookies/storage, not advertising.
4. Security and session
Authentication tokens and related session records are used to keep your account signed in and to let you review or revoke sessions in Settings.
5. Analytics
We use first-party local storage on your device to assign an anonymous session key for aggregate page-view metrics sent to MuslimZawaj servers. We do not currently use Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics cookies.
6. Advertising
Advertising cookies and similar storage are not used while ads are disabled. If advertising is enabled later, Google AdSense and partners may set advertising cookies only after consent through Google’s certified CMP where required (EEA, UK, and Switzerland). Personalized and non-personalized ads may use storage as described in the Privacy Policy. Our site cookie notice is not a Google-certified CMP.
7. Managing your choices
Use Cookie Settings / Privacy Choices in the footer or Settings to reopen advertising privacy choices when Google’s certified CMP is present. You can also use browser controls, Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, and www.aboutads.info. Clearing random cookies yourself is not the official way to revoke Google advertising consent.
8. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
