1. Information we collect
We collect account and profile information you provide (email, display name, gender, country, marital status, children preferences, looking-for text, photos, and date of birth). Date of birth is used to confirm you are 18 or older and is not shown to other members. We also process messages after accepted contact, room messages you send, reports you submit, Google sign-in data if you choose that option, and session records. Optional gift payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Transactional email is sent through Resend.
2. How we use information
We use this information to operate MuslimZawaj: marriage profiles, contact requests, messages after accepted contact, rooms, notifications, safety and moderation, optional gifts, and account email. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Sharing with service providers
We share limited data with providers that help run the platform: hosting and database, Stripe for optional gift payments, and Resend for transactional email. If advertising is later enabled and consent requirements are met, Google and advertising vendors may receive the technical data needed to serve ads, as described below. We do not sell personal information.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage for login sessions, security, and language. We use first-party local storage for aggregate page-view analytics on our own servers. Advertising storage is not used unless ads are enabled and required consent is obtained through a Google-certified consent management platform. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
5. Security
We use HTTPS, authenticated sessions, and API rate limits. No system is completely secure. Use a strong password and review active sessions in Settings.
6. Your rights
You can update your profile in Settings or contact us to request correction or deletion of your account data, subject to legal retention needed for safety and payments.
7. Advertising vendors
MuslimZawaj may use Google AdSense and third-party advertising vendors if advertising is enabled. Those vendors may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, or IP addresses to serve, limit, and measure ads. Google describes how it uses information from partner sites at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Advertising on MuslimZawaj remains disabled until a Google-certified CMP and AdSense configuration are completed. A publisher ID is never hardcoded in this product.
8. Personalized and non-personalized advertising
Where permitted by law and your choices, ads may be personalized based on prior visits to this site or other sites. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies or identifiers for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and aggregated reporting. You can manage advertising preferences through Cookie Settings / Privacy Choices in the footer, Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, and industry opt-outs at www.aboutads.info.
9. Consent choices
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising consent is collected by Google’s certified Consent Management Platform (AdSense Privacy & Messaging) using the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The MuslimZawaj cookie notice is for site-necessary storage only and is not that certified CMP. Reopen advertising choices with Cookie Settings / Privacy Choices in the footer or Settings. We do not treat being logged in, browser language, or your country profile as advertising consent.
10. Sensitive data is not used for custom ad targeting
Ad rendering does not receive custom targeting parameters from your MuslimZawaj records. We do not send Google custom parameters derived from religion or religious practice, gender, marital status, children, looking-for text, profile biography, private messages, reports, sexual orientation, or other precise private identity data.
11. Reports and moderation
Reports, blocks, and moderation actions are used to protect members and enforce Community Guidelines. They are not used to personalize advertising.
12. Age
MuslimZawaj is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Report suspected underage use with the in-product report tools.
